This board position affords the Trustee with the opportunity to guide HLP's education and public awareness of the split sexual and romantic qualities of the asexual spectrum. As the understanding of the asexual spectrum becomes better understood, the Ace Rep is expected to guide open discussions and propose education for increased public and LGBTQ+ community awareness. Since the Leather Culture and Human Pet relationships often have complex dynamics, the Ace Rep has the opportunity to educate HLP members about the asexual spectrum in the context of their own relationships, and therefore illustrate that asexuality is more common than publicly understood. The Ace Rep is expected to organize events to raise awareness of this Identity Group.
